Privacy Policy

MacroTrack ("we", "us", or "our") is a nutrition tracking app built and operated by Kyle Goodwin. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use MacroTrack, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's features:

• Account information — your email address when you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google.
• Nutrition data — food log entries, calorie and macro goals, and meal plans you create.
• Body metrics — weight entries you log manually.
• AI coach conversations — messages you send to the AI nutrition coach.
• App usage preferences — settings and preferences stored locally on your device.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, sell your data, or track you across other apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To power the core app features — food logging, calorie tracking, weight trend analysis, and adaptive TDEE calculation.
• To provide AI coaching responses personalized to your logged data.
• To sync your data across your devices (when cloud sync is enabled).
• To send push notifications you have explicitly opted into (daily summaries, meal reminders).
• To maintain your account and authenticate you securely.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in two places:

• On your device — all nutrition logs, goals, and preferences are stored locally in your browser/app storage first. The app works fully offline.
• Cloud backup (optional) — when cloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in Supabase, a secure PostgreSQL database platform. You can disable cloud sync at any time in Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

MacroTrack uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and optional cloud data storage. Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare Workers — powers the AI coach, meal plan generation, and push notification delivery. Privacy Policy
• USDA FoodData Central — public food nutrition database used for food search. No personal data is sent. Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude — AI model powering the nutrition coach. Your food log context is sent to generate coaching responses. Privacy Policy

5. Sign in with Apple / Google

If you sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email (or a relay email address) per Apple's privacy guidelines. We use this only to create and identify your account. If you sign in with Google, Google's OAuth flow is used and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Push Notifications

Push notifications are entirely opt-in. You can enable or disable them at any time in Settings. We only send notifications you have configured (meal reminders, daily summaries, or coaching check-ins).

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

• Local data — use "Clear All Data" in Settings, or uninstall the app.
• Cloud data — email us at hello@macrotrack.live to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud data. We will process the request within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

MacroTrack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
